Findings highlight the importance of cognitive factors in procrastination and depression. Elevated levels of cognitive risk factors (ruminative brooding and procrastination-related automatic thoughts) and low levels of protective factors (mindfulness and self-compassion) were associated with higher levels of procrastination and depression.
